Hover Over the Abyss of Grand Canyon in Arizona

One of the seven natural wonders of the world was created by the Colorado River over millions of years ago. This colorful gorge carved by turbulent river in the thick of limestone, shale and sandstone, is situated in 446 km long, 29 km wide, and 1800 m deep gorge. The appearance of huge canyon is even more ethereal thanks to the accumulation of a plurality of rocks and cliffs of the most bizarre forms.

Whimsical beauty of the canyon will not leave you indifferent - because of many types of sandstone the valley shimmers in different colors, water and wind have drawn whole pictures on the steep canyon walls - towers, pyramids, pagodas.

There are many viewing points, buses go every 10-15 minutes. Tourists like to go down into the canyon by mule, raft on inflatable boats down Colorado River and fly over the canyon by helicopter. Well, very hardy fans of extreme go down on foot enjoying not only the scenery, but also by physical exertion, adrenaline and opportunity to tell friends about the conquest of the “Great Canyon”.

Despite the large variety of routes and excursions, the most favorite among travelers is the Heavenly Trail - a lookout bridge with a glass floor in the shape of a horseshoe, suspended at a height of 1,219 m. The trail hovers over the abyss, and each standing on it goes through incomparable feeling - the beauty and grandeur of the canyon is breathtaking.
